Walt Christopher Stickney Walt Christopher Stickney was born august 30, 1944 in new orleans, dc, md, pa, nyc, eng, france, sweden, italy, wva, bklyn, n cape may. he received a b.a. in english n comparative literature from the University of Pennsylvania. his books include To Night: Little David On Mouth-Harp, Cover My Souls, one n five minute pose-pomes, The Bethesda Preludes, n How To Live With An Actor. he has performed widely in europe n the united states. he received an award from The National Endowment for the Arts n several awards from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities including the 1st individual grant award. he has given four one person shows of his drawings n has participated in numerous group shows. he was the director of The Pushkin Press, edited Piano, a flowing journal, n directed 44 Covers for the Locked-up n the Locked-out, a travelling exhibition of visual art by 44 washington artists that became an environment in which music, theatre, dance, n poetry performances n workshops were given in hospitals, prisons, n schools. he created n directed an opera for severe profound disabled children, The Origin of Species, which was filmed n is used as an educational tool in colleges around the country. his most recent films for Cape May Studio are Window On 42nd Street n In The Howl Festival nyc 03 with Gloria McLean, former principal dancer with The Erick Hawkins Dance Company n the director of LIFEDANCE. he lives with his wife, actress Patti Chambers n their 2 cats, li po n duse, in cape may, nj. Brian McCollum Brian McCollum was born december 5, 1942 in plymouth, devonport, england. he received a diploma 1st, 2nd from The Royal College of Art in london. he was granted a government scholarship to LEcole des Beaux Arts in paris. the street riots began. he observed it was a mad phony scene from his cafes n returned to plymouth, where he lived n painted for 9 years above a fruit n vegetable warehouse. during these years he met wCs n they collaborated on To Night: Little David On Mouth-Harp for Writers Forum, 1970. he states, art is a theatre of life. it isnt a vacuous experience. im here to enjoy the people around me, those who live in their own time and place. i can go off to my coffee bar, come home and paint and revel in it. i am not bitter or stupid or a fascist academic artist. do i get to the promised land? no. just go and find what you are interested in; discover your own personal enthusiasm and live a brilliant life. he resides in london n brittany, france with his wife, Zelda n their daughter, Chloe. |
